The SA Armour Museum and Geocache
Getting Started with Geocaching
Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a
worldwide game of hiding and seeking
treasure. A geocacher can place a Geocache
in the world, pinpoint its location using
GPS technology and then share the Geocache's
existence and location online via the
Internet. Anyone with a GPS device can then
try to locate the Geocache.
The SA Armour Museum is home to one of these
Geocaches and it has been visited many
times since it was placed in the Museum in
2006.
There are a number of Geochaces around the
School of Armour area, there are more than
100 geocaches in the Bloemfontein city area.
